Sports Rehabilitation
Recover from injury. Rebuild capacity. Return to what you do.
Sports rehabilitation is about more than reducing pain. It is the process of understanding an injury, restoring movement and function, rebuilding physical capacity and gradually preparing the body for the demands of your chosen activity or sport.
With a background in sports rehabilitation, physiotherapy, osteopathy and Applied Functional Science, I take a movement-focused approach to rehabilitation that can be adapted to your individual needs, injury and goals.

Who I Work With
I work with active people of all levels, from recreational exercisers to competitive athletes.
Rehabilitation may be appropriate if you are:
- Recovering from a sports or exercise-related injury
- Returning to activity after a period of pain or reduced movement
- Managing a recurring injury
- Rebuilding strength and confidence following injury
- Returning to sport following surgery
- Preparing to return to higher levels of training
- Looking to improve physical capacity following injury
Assessment
Rehabilitation begins with understanding the injury and the demands placed on your body.
I assess your symptoms, movement, strength, function and current level of activity, while considering your previous injuries, training history and goals.
Where appropriate, I will also consider the specific physical demands of your sport or activity when planning your rehabilitation.
Your Rehabilitation Plan
Your rehabilitation programme will be tailored to your individual presentation and goals.
Depending on what you need, this may involve:
- Restoring mobility and movement
- Building strength and physical capacity
- Improving coordination, control and stability
- Gradually increasing load and tolerance to activity
- Developing sport- or activity-specific movement
- Progressing from basic exercises towards more demanding tasks
- Preparing for a safe and confident return to training or competition
Rehabilitation is progressive rather than simply a collection of exercises. The aim is to gradually expose the body to the demands it needs to tolerate.
Return to Sport & Activity
Returning to your normal activity is not always as simple as waiting for pain to disappear.
Where appropriate, I will help you progress through the stages of rehabilitation towards the physical demands of your activity or sport.
This may include gradually increasing strength, load, speed, movement complexity and sport-specific demands, depending on your individual situation.
The goal is to help you regain the physical capacity and confidence needed to return to the activities that matter to you.
Rehabilitation After Injury or Surgery
I also work with people recovering from significant injuries and orthopaedic surgery.
Rehabilitation can be coordinated alongside the advice of your consultant, surgeon or other healthcare professionals where appropriate, with progression based on your stage of recovery and individual requirements.
Understand the injury. Rebuild the body. Progress with purpose.

Movement is at the heart of my approach.
Zaneta completed the Fellowship in Applied Functional Science (FAFS) at the Gray Institute in Michigan, developing a deeper understanding of movement and how the body functions as an integrated system.
This movement-based perspective complements her osteopathic and sports rehabilitation training and informs the way she assesses and rehabilitates injuries.
